How does MMSEEK escrow payment protect parents and providers?

Payment is held in escrow when you book and released to the provider only after the activity ends and a 7-day cooling period passes, protecting both families and providers.

What are the four provider categories on MMSEEK?

Learning Companion (university students or graduates, split into Basic Companion and Knowledge-focused Companion, can do outdoor learning accompaniment); Master Artisan (individual skilled masters, activities only at a fixed venue, no outdoor accompaniment); Learning Centre (company-run enrichment centres and studios); and School (schools running holiday campus programs).

What is a Basic Companion?

A Basic Companion is a university student or graduate. Parents set the full itinerary. The companion supervises children and provides translation, without designing educational content, at a lower price tier.

What is a Knowledge-focused Companion?

A Knowledge-focused Companion is a university student or graduate. They design custom educational content using their university major knowledge and teach kids during the experience, at a higher price tier. Examples include a law graduate exploring Hong Kong legal heritage, an architecture student leading city building tours, or a biology student running nature field trips.

Is a Learning Companion a licensed tourist guide?

No. The role name Learning Companion is chosen deliberately. It is an educational experiential role and not a tourist guide.

What rules apply to Master Artisans?

Master Artisans do not need a university degree. All activities must be hosted at their own fixed venue; they cannot offer outdoor accompaniment. They must provide professional skill certification for vetting.

What does MMSEEK mean?

MMSEEK stands for Mum and Me Seek — mother and child seek and discover the world together.

How do I book a program on MMSEEK?

Open any program page, select Book / Reserve. Pick your preferred date on the calendar, check available spots, choose participant quantity and complete payment. Payment locks your seats. You can also press Contact Provider to send enquiries through our platform messaging system.

Can parents chat directly with the provider?

Yes, all messages go through MMSEEK's built-in messaging system. Private contact information will not be shared between families and providers.

How do providers manage session capacity?

Providers set the maximum number of spots per session in their backend. After each confirmed paid booking, remaining seats reduce automatically. When fully booked, that date will show Fully Booked and no further bookings can be made. Providers can update availability and opening dates anytime.
